Dress Exchange

 48 49

Dress: Moda Int’l.  Shoes: Guess.  Bag: Outdoor Vendor (Newport on the Levee).

Okay folks – here is one of dresses I got from my dress swapping extravaganza last week.

I actually purchased dress #2 and #3.

The gray dress #1 was actually the top vote (and probably my favorite too), but I decided that it wouldn’t have looked good on me.  It was made of quite thin cotton and was a very tight cut, which anyone with a more noticeable bottom half knows… that doesn’t always work so well.

The dresses I did get will fit and compliment my body type well and will be work appropriate, so they were the perfect choices for me (though I would’ve gotten them all if I could’ve afforded it!).

A big improvement from my first sweater dress trial!

I love the sweater dress you are wearing! I find this season it is a little easier to find flattering sweater dresses than it was last fall and winter.

That dress looks like it's a dream to wear (and it looks stunning too). Is it as soft as it looks?

And your mother has the color me beautiful book too?? I LOVE that! I have never met anybody else, come to think of it, that has childhood memories to it. I loved those books from a very young age, I think they are part of the reasong why I'm so interested in clothes and colors. Have you've ever had a color analysis? (or tried to guess it on your own)

Skapamusik - yes, it really is as comfortable as it looks! I did feel a little self-conscious though this first time wearing it though b/c it is pretty form fitting :)

I haven't met anyone else who remembered the Color Me Beautiful Books either!!! I remember doing the color test with my mom -- I think I was Autumn :)

Have to chime in here -- Actually, my mom also had "Color Me Beautiful." I remember her telling me that she went for years thinking she was the wrong season, but then finally got it right. Now, I think I am totally a different season than what she told me when I was a kid. I guess it's true what they say... seasons change. :)

Also, I have to second that you rock the dress even better than the model.

Seasons do change, I've learned - from my mother - that alot of winters become summers when they get older. Her mother did, very striking with dark coloring when she was young then when she got older and her hair turned gray she suddenly looked amazing in "dusty" pastels, like pink and powder blue.

Back to the picture, I didn't notice the shoes before - fantastic! And I can imagine you being a autumn, your complexion seems to have a very nice warm tone.

(I have become such a geek on color me beautiful the last couple of days...)
