I’ve mentioned before a few of the descriptors that I think make for an interesting outfit: 1) pattern, 2) texture, 3) color, and 4) sheen.
I typically incorporate these things into most of my outfits without even thinking about it. But if there is one thing that I have to consciously choose or work at more than the others, it would definitely be pattern.
I love patterns, but don’t always automatically incorporate them. I started today with a gray tweed cropped jacket, but realized something was missing. As soon as I switched to the pictured top it looked so much better!
* pattern & color above *
* some sheen in the jewelry below *
* texture in the pants & ruffle shirt*
Print top: White House Black Market. Red ruffle shirt: INC (Macy’s). Pants: necessary objects. Boots: Aldo.
I think I finally figured out how to use my new computer’s blogger application without messing up the quality of the pictures. What do you think? Clear enough? I hope so :)
