In Need of Mending

White Ruffle Top: INC. Plaid Pencil Skirt: Love Tease. Red Peep Toes: Nine West. Belt: Thrifted.

This waist on this skirt is way too big for me. I love the skirt color and pattern, but it is utterly impossible to wear it without a top to cover the waist because it is so big and "gappy". When I bought it, I knew it was a touch too big, however - it is seriously too big at this point. Arg! Tomorrow I go to the seamstress!

Great outfit...love the ruffles on the top, the print of the skirt and the pop of red with the shoes!

In a strange way I love clothes that are too big! But I do hate an ill fitting outfit - and this in no way looks ill fitting!

I know the feeling. I've got a couple dresses that need to go to the seamstress because they don't fit right as well. The skirt is really cute on you, so I'm glad you're getting it fixed instead of tossing it!

Great outfit! I have some shirts that are too bulky in the waist too. I use vests or cardigans to pull them in. The belt is a nice touch.

Do you go to a seamstress often in order to tailor your clothes? I have so much difficulty finding clothes that fit properly!

I hate it when that happens. I'm faced with a skirt that is either a little too snug in the hips or way too big at the waist. It's great that tailors can remedy this, though - hope it works well on your skirt.
