Belts are a girl’s best friend! Tips on best ways to wear:
1. Cinch the smallest part of your waist with a fashion belt -- anything along the hip area will only make the area look larger.
2. Use belts to cinch voluminous shirts/tunics, or dresses.
3. Dress up a fitted shirt or blazer by pairing with a contrasting color or embellished belt.
4. Use slimmer belts with closer fitting simpler styles. Use larger belts for large print or detail (ex. ruffles) styles.
Have fun with it - mix and match, and a little "bling", etc. Don't be afraid to experiment - you can always make changes!

Love the bright and sunny shoes again. Great tips with the belts. Thanks for answer one readers question. Which in turn answered all of us that did not ask.=)
Love the belted looks. Belts are my new favorite fashion accessory.
So when you mentioned that you had 8 piercings, you inspired me to get a piercing this weekend. Ouch! And it rubs. Ouch! Did I say, Ouch!
oh my goodness...I love all these outfits!
I love belted outfits - thank you for sharing yours :).
Love the collection of belt pics! It shows all of the creative ways you have worn belts...
Belts are something I am just beginning to explore! I love how it pulls the waist in and has a slimming effect!
...but then again, we can't all have your amazing curves! :-)
HI! Thank you, thank you so much for answering my question. You really took the time and it means a lot to me. :)
All your outfits are really jaw-dropping. :D
Thanks once again!
I've become a big fan of belted outfits too. Love the mix of zebra with yellow shoes!
Wow, all these are excellent pictorials of what you can do with a belt. I have such a short distance between my hips and my ribcage, but I do still wear belts that are of medium width, and I can still make it work had the outfit called for a wide belt.
Love all your dresses!
Kerri - welcome to the piercing family! you must have gotten your belly button done - right? that was one of the most painful and irritating initially.
Kate - you're very welcome! I was happy to answer your question and glad it was helpful :)
Just discovered your blog, and I am LOVING it. You have an amazing sense of style- classic and fun. I am a little afraid of belts, but you have given me the courage to give them a try. Keep up the great posts!!
Um, my belly button? Not exactly...
You wear all styles of belts extremely well, Londyn.
I love the dress - great animal print!
I love this look!
Kerri - LOL... okay no more guessing. funny thing is that I've gotten some piercings people thought would REALLY hurt, but for whatever reason they weren't that horrible. I hope you heal quickly!!! ;)
where do you get your belts? they are so cute. I have looked at all the stores and can't find anything cute. The ones you have with the flowers are adorable. Please tell us where to get them!
Thanks - I have to admit that I purchased probably 1/2 my belts at thrift or vintage stores. Even if thrift is not your thing - I find belts (and necklaces and purses) items that can always be found at thrift places and don't typically come with the "yuck - somebody else's stuff" factor.
The leaf buckle belt was a gift, so I'm not sure where it was from - sorry!
Some of my belts are also from Macy's, TJ Maxx, and Target.
Hope this helps!
Nice Post! I also read some of your postings. I really learned a lot of things. Thank you for sharing.
will belts work even for someone who has a tummy?
