Red Wrap Dress

I love this dress, but may have to think about new ways to do something a little different with it. Since the dress is all over pattern and already has a wrap belt, I'm a little stumped at what to do put with it that wouldn't be too overly done....

I have worn it with a chocolate color blazer..... maybe I could try a vest? Any other thought?

Fabulous in-sole platform peep toe buckled stilettos (goodness that was a mouthful!): BCBG

I love the pairing of the striped stiletto with a print dress. I definitely would not have thought of that.

As for dress, maybe add a thick double buckled belt over the wrap (if it doesn't get too bulky) in a chocolate/caramel colour?

I LOVER-LOVE that dress. I'm a sucker for an awesome wrap. There's something so 1950's about the style. I like it better without the blazer actually. And the shoes ROCK it.

And, uh, to try to be helpful... does the wrap belt come off? Maybe you could pair it with a different belt. Or an apron. Wink.

Thanks!

The belt doesn't come off, but I was considering a thick silver belt over the existing wrap since I did have silver in my shoes...

Funny you mentioned an apron b/c I put one on to make dinner when I came home tonight!!!

You could pair it with a pair of opague tights during the cooler months with a kick ass pair of boots (and a turtleneck layered underneath) For the summer time, I would put a delicate lace cami under it, peeking out, with a pop of color in the shoe (maybe yellow?) with a nice white bag.

Love the shoes! I would suggest maybe attaching a beige floral pin where the dress ties. That would look super cute!

That dress is adorable. I was also thinking about a wide belt over the wrap belt. I have done that with some of my wrap dresses. And yes, I thought of a 1950s apron as well. :-D

Thanks for the suggestions (and keep them coming!).

I have to admit, that yes, the shoes are a bit uncomfortable, but nothing extreme. For a day of sitting in meetings - they're perfect!

I was going to say the same thing about switching out the belt, also the vest would be really cute. Can the sleeves be pushed up shorter or a solid long sleeve top layered underneath? Or even a layered lace skirt underneath. Even another blazer, done up with a big scarf at the neck so you basically just see the skirt portion.

Awesome shoes!

A thin cream cardi done up over it and belted on top of that, I think would be pretty. Add a chunky necklace and a light heel.

How about a short sleeve shrug ???

I love the look of a shrug as a vest.
