Winter Fishnets

Rose Pattern Blazer: Michael Kors. Blue/Purple Ruffle Top: New York & Co. Gray Pinstripe Pencil Skirt: Style Y.

People may have thought I was crazy today to wear fishnets in the cold weather, but little do they know that I just layered the fishnets over a pair of sheer nylons, so I was perfectly warm!

What color are the fishnets? They look a really cool shade of dark purple on my computer. Plus, did you wear these to work? I've always been afraid to wear them because I feel they're....well, a little too "sexy" for work! lol. This outfit looks great!

Very clever. I love how the fishnets compliment the blouse.

QL girl - yep, the fishnets are purple and yep, I wore them to work! It definitely depends on the work environment, but my rule of thumb is that if the rest of the outfit is covered and professional, then you can get away with a little spice like fishnets! :)

love checking out your blog and your outfits..just wandering why don't you post more frequently?

Good idea.

I typically post about 4-5 times per week, sometimes more sometimes less.

Honestly, I often have to force myself to post as much as I do. I am on the computer at least 9 hours a day for work - so getting online in the evening when I am dead tired is sometimes the last thing I want to do. Only for the love of fashion!

I use your same tricks for wearing fishnets:

1. OK at work if rest of outfit has you covered up.
2. Layer over sheer nylons to stay warm.

Oh la la! I like the fishnets. I've worn fishnets over tights once, but I felt they were a little too racy for the office.

That is such a great idea! I've seen people layer fishnets over opaque tights, but never thought about using nudes for the look of just fishnets alone.
