Taking the Challenge: Michelle Obama Style Tribute

Wrap Sweater: BCX. Pleated Skirt: INC.

Okay, so this was my Michelle Obama inspired look. Thrifty Muse blog is having a challenge to dress your best Michelle Obama! I didn't have time last night to raid my closet, so I made my best effort this morning.

Yes, I took the easy route with all black, but I still think it encompasses a good Michelle vibe:
1) Good Fit
2) Pearl Jewelry
3) Pleat Skirt
4) Wrap Shirt
4) Belt
5) Classic Black

I just found your blog and I LOVE it!!! I have already gotten so many outfit ideas. Also, I noticed that your hair is red in some posts and brown in others. I have been thinking about trying out red hair. Do you do your own hair color?

That is a great silhouette for your figure. Michelle Obama has been sporting a pleated skirt with just that shape lately.

Rachel - I have always done my own hair color until just the last few months. I will say that even though it is much more expensive to have a salon do your hair color, it is a better quality and saves all the mess and guess work of doing it at home. Let me know if you decide to go red! I've always been a fan of red hair too!

I think if Michelle saw this, you'd make both Mrs. & Mr. Obama very proud. =) Very Michelle-like, but it's you at the same time. Michelle definitely wears those sweaters and wraps sooooo well.
