I finally have a closet again!!! Between moving and then having my closet collapse on me, I have been a wreck. My clothes have been in piles on our bedroom floor, making for numerous "nothing to wear" mornings, so I am very thankful to have my clothes in their rightful place! Thank goodness I have a handy boyfriend!
When my closet collapsed on me, I got to thinking: "Do I have too many clothes?" I was sure that couldn't be, but I was somewhat curious about how many pairs of shoes I had collected, etc. Well, I counted, and let's just say I am in triple digits. I did decide to give away or swap 20 pair, so that helped my shelf space some. As for wardrobe pieces to come.....I am sure I will always find a place for them.

OMG!!! Your closet is to die for!!! So jealous.
OMG !!! I love your closet.
I have to ask did you get your new place just for that closet ?
Just wondering ..if you plan out your outfits for the week? OR do you just plan it by the weather ever morning?

You need a pin board (Pottery Barn) or something like it underneath the boxes. Hang your costume necklaces there. A small mirror might be a nice addition.

oh my god.. thats a lot of clothes...
Hmm, what size shoe do you wear? :)
Triple digits - wow! I will point my husband to this post when he tells me I have lots of shoes!
Your wardrobe looks very well organised now - are you happy with it?
Wow, I'm jealous. It's my dream to have a walk in closet like that one.
Also: what a lot of shoes!
Fantastic!
Thanks for all the great comments! Yes, I am very happy with my closet now.
I wear a size 7 shoe Julie :)
No, I did not decide on my new place b/c of the closet, but it sure was a big plus! I also have to be thankful that I have such a fabulous boyfriend who offered to take the spare bedroom closet so that I could have this one all to myself.
I do not plan my outfits for the week, but I will sometimes try to pick them out the night before. My lack of planning has made for some hectic mornings, so planning the night before would be my suggestion for any other clothes diva out there.
I like the idea of the push pin board! I keep all my jewelry in the stand at the back of my closet, but being able to have some necklaces visible is a cute idea. Oh, and my full length mirror is right outside the closet door.
Great closet. I had some questions but you have answered them all!
And no, not too many shoes! Lucky girl.
What a coinky dink...I'm a size 7, too! How do I get in on that shoe swap/giveaway?
PS. Love your blog and your closet!
Ok I am in the triple digit club for shoes as well so I can relate. Also I loooooovvvveee your closet.
I love how you have an area for jeans . Everything looks so organized. I can only hope to have a closet like that one day.
Wow...I'm very impressed with your closet, and I feel better, too. I have a TON of shoes (I know, too many, but I love them) and lots of clothes, but it looks very similar to yours. I love it now that I organized everything, but I still need more space. Looks like you did quite a fabulous job!
OMG! Every woman's dream is to have your closet! :)
WOW I am envy of your closet. It is so bold, big & beautiful and I see your ton supply of clothes there as well as dozens of shoes. I am a shoe freak too and I seriously need to build a shoe closet (someday.) I personally have a walk-in closet (not as big as yours), 3 regular closets, entire drawers and dressers, a coat closet as well a a full room of clothes. Yes I AM THAT BIG OF A CLOTHESWHORE!!! LOL
